Still think smart cars are safe?
You've probably seen smart cars run into various items on the web and the end result always showing how the passenger cabin stays intact. Well here's a real world scenario showing a not so Smart car run into a semi. Needless to say the driver did not survive, in fact he was pulled out in two pieces. Thats not a smart car in the photo.
Smart Cars do not have a hatch mounted spare tire, a 5 lug bolt pattern, and "Cross xxxxx" on the running boards..

Could it be a newer European model? It certainly looks like a Smart car from some angles. Either way, no one should drive anything this small.
If it's not a Smart car, any idea what it was?

w/e it is, its not a smart.
Plus any incident involving a passenger car and fully loaded semi head on will not end up with the passengers of the car walking away from it.

 Here's what it really is. It's a VW CrossFox. It's a South American VW model. Looks like now we know what it really was. It's not a Smart. I'd bet a Smart would have looked the same or worse in the same scenario.
