Preparation for the release is now moving fast. Seems they let the cat out of the bag with 'Men in Black' and have moved the release and production way forward.

First of the official launch starts today in Germany as a prelude to March Premier. Watch this space.

The front looks good but I sure hope the back end is not finalized!

To much like the Ford Taurus.

The change has an "evolutionary" rather than "revolutionary" look. IMHO the appearance is so very closely related to the current W210 that I will not be disappointed and wished I had waited for the W211 when I buy a 2002 E55. The W211 will be in dealer showrooms this fall. That is only about 8 months from now.

Anyone want to buy a E430?:

Looks pretty good

from the shape its looks small....sort of C-class

wow manual transmission huh! wish soon they come out with paddle shifting like in F1....like the 360 where the paddles move with the steering

somehow the top vents bother me...doesn't look right

both seats fold down

once again i won't be able to afford a new one....keep playing that lotto :-)

The all glass roof option may be nice, however, I do not like the moonroof panel on top of the car. The Navigation Video Screen appears smaller than Comand 2.0 and it looks like a 16:9 widescreen ratio.

Check out the babe with the helicopter hair-do or is it a hair-don't!

Is that an automatic transmission I see without the gated shifter Oh well. I also like the start button on top of the gear stick ala the SL.
This machine might finally be a reason to get rid of the ole W124 **sigh**

Overall I say the car looks pretty good. But from the side the styling looks a little bubbly Jaguar like. The COMAND system is about as simple to use and well liked as the new 7 series iDrive. The 2002 Camry taillights and racing WRX headlights could go. But that's what the mid model cycle facelift is for.
