How can I permenantly deactivate ASR?

I have a 93 300SE. I've had some engine management done, and I would like to test the net result. The only problem is, when I press the "Snow Chain" button on my dash, the ASR still comes on, just not as soon, and not as directly. How can I get it to go completely off without damaging the sysytem or pulling a fuse. I live in the eastern US and drive my car year round. ASR has saved my butt many times and I dont want it permenantly disabled.

ASR defeat switch

The "snow traction" switch on your W140 would allow only a limited slip on your rear tires for winter traction. If what you want is to fry your rear tires at start, the ASR would prevent you from doing it.

You may order a "ASR DEFEAT SWITCH" which comes with the proper electronics, so you may completely deactive the ASR as you wish.

Installation requires a professional and takes about 3 hours.

The switch imitates the original M.B. control switches, so you may added in your center console and it will look original from factory.

Precision Auto Designs carry it for US$475.00 plus US$8.00 shipping. Order it from www.precisionauto.com or call 408-378-2332. It is especially made for the 1992-1995 W140 S-Class.

As you say, I would not completely defeat the ASR as it may save your life. The switch will give you the opportunity to play with you car once in a while.
