I realize that I'm not the demographic that car designers are after anymore, but I was struck by the narrator's comment in the MB video link above. Describing all of the new electronics features in the new concept MB built around smartphones, he said something like, "it's designed to be a minimum of distraction to the driver...." A minimum of distraction??? Come on, that's exactly what this stuff is all about: 'how many other things can I be doing than being attentive to the road and the traffic around me?' A minimum of distraction would be to stop turning cars into video arcades.
