Filed under: Coupe, Performance, Technology, Mercedes-Benz, Electric, Luxury
BMW has its i8, Audi has its R8 e-tron, Mercedes-Benz has its SLS AMG E-Cell. The electron-powered, gullwinged coupe will use batteries supplied by SK Innovations that power four synchronous electric motors into developing 525 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque. It is predicted to run from zero to 60 mph in 4 seconds - that's up from a previously estimated 3.7 seconds. Mercedes has loosed a little more info on the technology behind the SLS AMG E-Cell.
