C280 Motor temperature

Dear
I have C280 mod 95 about 145k km I went upmountain with the Airconditioning On ,the Temperature went above the mark 80 to the next mark above it,then the Fans started ,But the temperature stayed above 80 and didn't drop,.
So is this normal temperature for the car when the AC is on.
Any body has an answer.
