I'm coming very close to ordering an S600. My current S has been wonderful but it's time for something new. . .

Anyone out there with a 600 (140 or 220) have any comments on
the motor? I've heard once you go with a V-12, there's no going back!!

I say go for it. But get the sedan.

My mind went racing for modifications to the car when I heard about it being turbo. Just think, raise the boost a little bit and you'll have over 600 ft/lbs of torque. Put a front mounted intercooler. If they offered the 4 matic with it too, then there would be no other car that I would desire.

The next gen S class will have 4matic and there is already an intercooler. Some of the tuners are saying they will have upgrades that will raise power outputs above what the Maybach is producing, but that due to the complex electronic and control systems these mods will not be cheap.

Imagine though a 600hp 4 wheel drive S class, wow. I have had a secret desire for an A8 because of the 4 wheel drive. After having driven a WRX the confidence inspiring 4 wheel drive is addictive. The S class with airmatic suspension with 4 matic, huge power, 19in rims, and an AMG body kit and lowering would just be killer.

Matt.
