What do you get when you cross an S-class and an El Camino?

This conversion might appeal to all those cowboys who refuse to compromise its car quality standards.

Always wondered what such a thing might look like! Now I can't decide if I like it or not

I have seen something like that on eBay before, but it was a W123 300D instead. It went for a lot of money.

I sure wish I had this much time on my hands. I'm quite sure that's what I would use such time for, but I wish I had it.

Have a great day,

A German company named BINZ (Binz Benz ) was doing these conversions over 40 years ago. They also made ambulance and hearse versions. You can check out a few photos at Binz Coach Builders.

Used to be an outfit in Seattle that did that to Cadillacs about twenty years ago. They actually looked pretty good. They would mostly use the late sixties coupe devilles. See one for sale every now & then, usually for more than I'd pay for one even if I was interested.

By the way, this specific yellow pick-up conversion was done on a 420SEL and not a 300SD.

The car has the original 4.2 liter V8 and four-speed auto transmission and is selling in Germany for 10,000 Euros (a littler over US$10,000)
