Pulling an engine out of a '85 380SE. Need some advice
A friend of mine and I are going to pull the engine out of his '85 380SE to rebuild it. Is it easier to pull the engine out by itself, or is it easier to pull it with the trans attached? Seems like there is plenty of room to separate it in the car. Chris

Pulled the engine/trans assembly yesterday and it was quite easy! The biggest concern was marking every wire and vacuum line so I could put it back together without pulling my hair out. We stripped it down and are sending it to Metric Motors for a COMPLETE rebuild. Much easier to pull the whole thing than trying to split it apart in the car. Chris
