New C55 replaces the C32
Has anybody seen this yet???
Disguised Undisguised With the Facelift of the C-class in February 2004, Mercedes-Benz will replace the C32 AMG V6 Kompressor with the 55 AMG V8. Allegedly the AMG V8 is to get somewhat more HP than the current CLK55 AMG. To make the C55 AMG stand out more from the rest of the C-Class line up, it will get the same front end as the CLK. This will make the C-C55 about 11cm longer and this is what will allow the fitment of the new engine. Note: the chassis remains the same, the length is only increased by the overhang. It's almost like having a CLK55 four door. The rest of the C-Class line will keep the same headlamps but will get clear lenses. |

THe Undisguised pic is just a pure speculation. On the disguised pic you can see that the grill has something in the middle which can suggest a front like the new SLK. Also the grill lines are more sloped to the middle and the lights appear more seperated. Could it be no more peanuts?
Now what type of engine do you think they will squeeze in there if turns out to be true. If its just a regular 5.5 liter V8 than it will be like the new CLK 55. If they put the supercharger this car would turn itself inside out. Imagine C55 kompressor. Sweet. Even if they do not use kompressor you could then Kleemanize it. C ya. |

For the record,
Yes the undisguised picture is a photoshop image of what we think it will look like. The engine will be the regular CLK55 engine, but tweaked a little bit. |

I guess AMG is having trouble with the Kompressors. They are probably going to go to big displacement motors.
C55 with the CLK55/210 E55 motor is a great combo, so sport. E55 needs the Kompressor or something with 500 hpr. SL55, the Kompressor isnt doing the job, I think it needs the 65 twin turbo. If I was HWA, that is how I would do it.
