Vaneo...?

This MB model is called Vaneo can be seen on the roads here:

I really wonder what Mercedes is doing lately? What has happened to the rock-solid limousines that this brand was/is famous for, and that built their worldclass reputation. Same story for the A-class. Even the new C-class is compact rubbish. I guess MB wants to appeal to a wider audience, but it looks to me they are losing their traditional customers. In Germany, hardly any new MB's around, but plenty new BMW's and Audi's. Only the SLK-CLK models are inline with their classic origins. In this way, MB is becoming a second Volkwagen, maybe that's good for their business, but sad for us fans...

Cheers!

quite true, the newer cars looks slim and more aerodynamic butnot as solid as before. one can tell the difference, for instance the w124 or w126 doors seems so much solid and good feel than the w210 e class and even the mighty s class. i always prefer the shape of the w124( post facelift)is just looks very elegant even though is like 20 years designit got character, more mb a like compare to the c class, especially with the classic model. maybe i am spoiled by mercedes that has chrome lining, and leather and burr walnut...... the c class classic just did not not look appealing to me. the only model in the range i find tasteful is the advangarde model. but the w202 c class i am driving now is still very reliable and solid....
