'03 C240 climate control, rest mode
My 2003 C240 4-matic wagon has an "AC off" button that is different from the one described in the owners manual. In the manual, the button is labeled "AC off REST" and has two LEDs, one for "AC off" and another for "REST". The corresponding button on my climate control has only one LED and is labelled "AC off". Here's the strange part: when I press the button after turning off the car, the residual heating system activates. However, there is no LED, or REST label on the button. What's up with that?

I think it is the same as the one in my E model. Press the rest mode after the engine is off, it will continue heating, at low fan speed, for about 30 minutes. It is good in a very cold day if you leave your car for a short while. It will not do you any good if you are gone for much longer than 30 minutes.
