How good is the 2.4L v6 engine. Will it last forever if taken care of (oil change each 6K) ? What else is needed on a regular basis, timing chain? Currently has 100.000km and have some intermitten problems that hopefully is electrical.

Yes, the M112 is a very durable engine and has some pretty solidly constructed internals. Just make sure the harmonic balancer has has been changed or is in good condition.
