G'day all, I have just been going through the 220 vs 140 debate and have noticed many comments in regards to aircon problems. I am horrified at what you people are paying to get it fixed $5000 for a repair would have you shot in Australia! Here in Sydney there are some talented mechanics that have managed to maufacture a replacement evaporator unit and fit alternate compressors with no loss of aircon quality at around $1800 OZ dollars it would appear some people are clearly being taken for a ride over there in the USA. In regards to the 220 vs 140 a friend of mine has a 1997 S280 which has covered a staggering 530,000km and is still looking like new and you still feel like royality when riding in it, if the 220 can do the same it will be the class leader but until a few years have passed I guess the 140 is King.
