Going to Europe for a while and thinking of pickinh up a cheap C180 probably a 94. Any things to watch out for? Is the auto better than the manual? Thanks.

The C 180 auto is incredibly SLOW!!!! Scooters would pass you by easily and effortlessly.
The manual is a little better, although still quite slow also. Post 1998 models are supposed to have a little more h.p. so the automatic is not as bad, but still... A C 200 is a much better option. If you definitely want an automatic, do not go anything smaller than a C 240. Besides that, check that there are no electric failures of any kind, as they tend to be expensive to fix. C 180s are usually extra starved, with manual windowns, no A/C, low end radios and cloth upsholstery. Try to find a model with at least rear headrests and a power sunroof.
