South Miami area: BlitzenBenz
Blitzen Benz
5897 SW 69th St South Miami, FL 33143 (305) 667-8717 These guys rock, owned and operated by two Armenian brothers. Never met a set of more honest mechanics in my life. They specialize in older Mercedes Benz vehicles, especially the diesels but are no stranger to the new stuff! If you end up in the area and your Benz feels sick, stop in and see these guys.

I got to tell you about my experience with Blitzen Benz. I want to start this with they are nice and all. I took my 1978 450slc to them, they diagnose, needed fuel pump, so they change it. Was billed over $700plus which included a tune up that was not ask for, wanted nor needed, as a matter of fact, they even acknowledge that the car have as they described "clean or new parts" as it was tuned up about a month ago by another indy. That's it.

Not a bad shop. Make sure to deal with Saro. He knows the older MB cars very well, and is good at diagnostics. Saro is also a gentleman.
I brought a G-Wagen into this shop. They were, for years, the approved G-Wagen repair center for the old importer, Europa International. I was a bit disappointed to learn that they did not know that the axles could not be refilled completely while the vehicle was up on a lift and that the G-Class needs to be on the ground to change the gear oil so that the axles would fill fully, especially the rear axle. I pay for technical knowledge and competence. Their rates are okay. I would have expected that they would have known about the proper method to fill the axles. Still, not bad. |
