JCE - I have not gotten one yet. I will get out shopping and try to pick one up between now and April.
I am going to take your advise and purchase one to get by with for a couple years until the new tech. comes out.
thanks,

Its great that MSshop is growing so fast. WE should however get more sponsers, like dealers and sound places etc. At the rate were growing we might, we should go public The best new IPO (mercedesshop.com) will give all internet stocks a boost.

Capt - nice diesel you just picked up on ebay.
I am going to stop making predictions on the number of registered members and dates. My eastern time zone - narrow mind is on the learning curve for figuring out something working in 24/7 time.
all I have to say to everyone associated with this board is - hang on!!!

I've been with this board for a year now, and have seen MShop grow. I just hope that us "long timers" aren't forgotten.

I never intended to buy a diesel. I bought it because it was a great price, great car, mint condition, and low low milage. Next I'm buying a 500E, within the next year or so.

68 new members in seven days. Even the daily average is up from 8/day to 9.71/day. Sure wish my retirement account was growing that fast.

This sounds like the makings of a great pyramid scheme!

Let's see...each new member pays $20 to join and is "sponsored by" a Senior Member. The Senior member keeps 20% and passes the rest to the Senior Member that sponsored him. That Member keeps 25% and passes the rest to...

Pretty soon we're all driving Maybachs!

3000 a moment ago!

At about 4:50pm California time, member #3000 hit the place. I see a little bit of a problem though. There are a number of people who are registered more than once. Bill, is there a way to track that?

3,000 !!!

WOW! This is a big deal.

All I can say is that we must be doing something right. A LOT of people have decided that the MercedesShop community is a good place to spend part of their lives each week. We continue to see accelerating volumes of page views, posts, and new members. Not to mention SUPER support from our members buying parts from PartsShop and our longtime supporters Tire Rack and Meguiars. NO, we're not getting rich but, this is one DotCOM that doesn't plan on being Dot GONE. We don't spend money we don't have.

BUT...the best is NOT behind us! We may not have the staff to implement all of the great ideas we hear but, we do plan to work on as many as we can and as SOON as we can. There are LOTS of new things on the horizon.

PLEASE KEEP TELLING US HOW WE CAN IMPROVE!!! But, don't get discouraged if you don't see us immediately act on your idea. The hamsters are running as fast as they can.

Thanks to everyone for a GREAT two years!

No, Bill, it should be all of us members thanking everyone at MercedesShop for a great 2 years of providing a unique service to Mercedes owners. This is a place to get help, to learn, and to have fun. It accounts for at least 1/2 my web time, and has allowed me to meet some neat people, both on line and in person.
I have seen MercedesShop posts answering questions appear at what has to be 2AM your time on a weekday! While many of us realize that a lot of work goes into the care and feeding of this site, relatively few of us appreciate just HOW MUCH work this is. The big question is: If the present trend of averaging 9 new members a day continues, by this time next year the membership will be at about 6000!!! This assumes that the growth rate doesn't increase, and that the site or need for membership doesn't saturate.
Having just got back from my radioisotope treadmill test, I thought about Donnie and his EKG he had a while back, and hope that you people can keep up the great service while keeping some fun in your lives. Thanks again.

Almost at 3,100

We are almost at 3,100 members and it has just been 10 or 11 days since we hit 3,000. The growth of our site continues to amaze me!
