I would love to see a forum for the ML. Perhaps along with the G wagon forum (I know these are very different beasts). Perhaps a MB Truck forum.... Also, It would be cool if the parts section offered many of the tweaks for these, such as brush guards, running boards, wind deflectors, GPS systems, lighting systems and on and on. Perhaps they already do?

Thanks for the consideration

...Tracy

Personally I think that this forum should not break up into model specific sections. There are other forums on the web (like mbnz.org and mbworld.org) that have split their forum up into model specific sections.
Check these forums to check the intensity of traffic across the different sections. Traffic is slow and posts remain un-answered. If the forum gets split up in model specific sections, one will miss a lot of posts/general information/specific answers that are applicable on different models as that one model only...

Just my opinion...

Maybe so, but we already have several forums for specific classes, i.e. SL, Diesel, performance etc.

Maybe a Truck forum as has been suggested would be more acceptable to the general membership?

Truck Forum

I agree that a truck forum should be added. I would think that just an ML forum might not get a lot of hits but maybe if the trucks forum be integrated into one, then we can share questions and answers. That's just my 2 cents.

I agree with the Truck/SUV forum combining the G wagon and the ML. This way they can also incorporate any new trucks/suv. I agree on not making it product specific but the G-wagon is WAY out there so adding the Ml might bring some action.

I'll cast my vote for an ML forum.

First question I'd ask is if others have had problems with condensation from the air vents on start-up

The moderator is responsible for making sure things don't get out of hand. I cannot possibly read all of the posts on the Shop Forum so I look to the moderators to let me know when inappropriate posts are found. The idea is to try to minimize flaming or other activities that would make the Shop Forum an unpleasant experience.

Secondly, the moderator doesn't have to be an "expert" but, they should be knowledgeable of their subject. They should try and make sure questions get responded to and that posts are in the proper forum.

Lebenz-
I'll post a message in Tech Help to give several people an opportunity to be the moderator if they want to do it. Then we'll pick someone after we've reviewed the candidates. Be sure to put your name in the hat along with your qualifications.
