Forum a Bit Slow Lately?

I was wondering if you are experiencing any problems with bandwidth. For the past couple days the pages are loading more slowly than usual.

Doesn't appear to be happening on other sites.

Thanks,
Wes

No bandwidth problems on the server.
Pages are clicking by pretty fast for me but there can be regional issues.

Well, after checking other sites and giving it a few days, this still seems to take quite a while to load. For example, when I return to a forum from viewing a thread, I get the listing of threads, but it takes a few seconds before the latest read turns red. Used to come up red right away before.

Granted, I'm on dialup at about 50 k/sec, but it was never this slow. I'm spending too much time waiting for pages to load.

I would suspect my computer, but it isn't happening anywhere but here.

sigh,
Wes

Try switching to the "low graphics dialup style" and see if that helps. (look in the lower left corner of this page)

Thanks. That appears to have solved the problem.

Everything loads extremely fast for me - full forum index in under 2 seconds after clicking to load it. Not a cached version, either. It's that way here at home (on my 1.5MB DSL) and at work (8 T lines)
