I'm really having a slowdown problem when I access the Tech Help forum. It takes nearly forever to load the page (well at least a minute or more). The only thing that I can see as different is the new moving banner at the top of the page. All other forums, eg, Detailing, Audio, etc, seem to load at the normal speed.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Steve-
I'll send you an e-mail to try to get more info on the slowdown you are seeing.

I am having the same problem. The sections without the moving banner are fine. The ones with take forever to load...too much time, infact, to bother waiting.

'nuff said.
The moving banner is history.

I don't know why it would be slow to load. It is only 4k in size which is less than any of the pictures on our site.
Oh well...

I have replaced it with static HTML.

I didn't have trouble with the loadspeed, the trouble I did have, was that after reading the entire banner as it scrolled across, I had a hard time seeing straight. This phenomena went away after about 20 seconds, and was somewhat amusing.

Actually, it was part of our plan to create an army of zombies who care about nothing but maintaining their Mercedes.

Natch these zombies would look to MercedesShop and MB Autowerks as their only source of technical information, parts and service.

We would rule the world!!!
Drats...foiled by slow download times...
