Yes, it does.

However it does NOT like my 26K dial up connection, and takes eleven times longer to perform any Internet function.

I have removed it from my system..

Close your Internet Explorer browser, open your IE browser.
Answer any thread.
When you are done typing, right click on the text box.
A menu should appear.
Left click on spell check.

Have a great day.

Hey, it works! Thise are just some letters I pounded in, the ones that are actually words are what the spell check recommended, kind of neat.

Firefox 2.0

I just installed it on three machines, a desktop and laptop running XP Pro and a virtual machine (VMWare of some sort) running 2003. It only took a few minutes with the laptop to convince me to install it on the others.

So far, I'm impressed. It's noticeably faster than 1.5, and seems to be stable. No crashes yet, although it's only been a few days. I do like the "close tab" button on the tab itself, although I have it only on the active tab (which can only be set through about:config, a page every Firefox user should be familiar with). You can also still close a tab with a middle-click.

And the spell checker is nice, and works very well. Reminds me of Outlook and Word, which I use constantly for work.

Not boasting, but I am a pretty good speller. Spelling was my best subject, but its not impossible to hit a wrong key and misspell a word, so I use spell checker often to make sure I have not done something as foolish as hitting the wrong key.

I have the recommended program mentioned here, but the one on my e-mail does not work. Does anyone know of a good one to downloan for e-mail- or how do I go about getting one for my e-mail? Thanks.

I hope you mean 56K.

I used a 28.8 modem for the longest time. Cable came to my area and I became forever spoiled to the speed. I can remember my dad using his 9600baud (9.6K) modem on his AT&T PC6400 at work.
