When I checked the MBUSA site for mauals, it asked for the chassis number (which I only know as a 123) and for the engine number. Where would I look to find thises numbers? Is it part of the VIN or something like that?

Okay, here's my VIN #WDB AB93A5EF008301. So, is the chassis number and the engine number above the correct one?

Thanks.

Any idea how long they usually take to send those? I just noticed that I ordered mine on the 3rd and I was under the impression it only had to come from NJ.

Unknown

They generally ship from the nearest central warehouse.
This year there is a higher than normal volume of people giving these as gifts = North American supply may be low/waiting re-stock shipment. :D

hello,

I live in France and own 2 MBs: a vintage one (230SL '65) and a modern one (SLK200)...and plan to buy another vintage.

I followed the advice of Whunter to buy the 4 CDROM early models litterature on mbusa classic center. I know they don't ship overseas so I gave the postal address of a friend living in California.

They sent me a receipt (order # MBZB002802), charged my credit card then....nothing appended.

So far, I sent several inquiry mails to know what's going wrong but I never received any answer ...and I'm not enough fluent in english to try a phone call.

Is there anyone here in the same situation?

Many thanks

No other reports of lost orders.

I called the classic center, that order/part number is not in their system.

You must have ordered on-line through MB.

This will require e-mail to your California friend, send the website/billing/contact data and they can find a way to contact MB regarding missing order..

Many many thanks Whunter for helping me.

Yes, I ordered these CDs on classictechlit.mbusa. com.

It's not a large amount of money but I really want to have them and they are not available here. For full information, I attach the order confirmation in PDF. I don't understand why they don't answer mail...(but charged my card...)
