Starting after long term storage
I have a 1976 450 SE which before I got it, was serviced (all fluids changed, tune up, and whatever else it needed.) Upon returning home, the previous owner said the alternator died and the car remained that way for about 14 months. I am the new owner, the alternator has been replaced and I'm ready to start this vehicle up. What will be the safest and easiest way to get this up and running? Do I need to change all fluids again or will they be all good?

Answer:
The fuel may be bad.
Best advice: Try starting it, if it runs poorly drain the tank (give the fuel to someone with an old work truck), fill the tank with fresh fuel, and take it for a long drive (200 miles).
