Replace mono valve, Rubber?

1982 300D Turbo.
The rubber diaphragm in the mono valve is torn, otherwise it is fine.

Can I buy a new rubber diaphragm somewhere (or from someone) rather than buying the entire cylinder/rebuild kit?

I'd like to maintain the aux pump. Should it be lubricated. It is getting a bit noisy at times.

Thanks.

If I could find just the diapraghm for something like under $5 I'd do it, else i'll get the whole kit which cost me about $32 new. Does anyone have just the diagragm or know where to get it. Only interested in a new part or like new part.

I don't know, I just replaced mine because it started to make a little noise (I could hear it inside the car for the first time). I still have the old one, I would be curious too.

I pulled a replacement from pull a part a few weeks ago, didnt check the diaphragm, it was busted as well. Just ordered a replacement kit. $35 if you shop around. Local place (that gets it from worldpac) wanted $80. For the rebuild kit!@#!~@#

FYI:

It has NEVER been possible to buy only the rubber part/diaphragm for the mono valve.

You must get the repair kit.

You got over 25 years from that aux pump. What's to complain about?

I have more than a few monovalves in my garage/toolbox- and have sold them to other members for $10 including shipping.

My brother gets them from 126's at wrecking yards (self serve) for less than $1.00 each. They are easy to remove. One time he go a whole handful (8 or more) for $5.00. He always has a few on hand when one goes bad. We go "Wreckinyardin" quite often, and buy this kind of parts (air cleaner brackets, expansion tanks, any new looking parts etc.) because they are cheap and good to have on hand.

There's a small white cap on the AWP. Take that off and put a couple of drops of oil in there. Seems to work for my stuff so far.
