Diesel Mechanics Books

http://www.mhprofessional.com/product.php?isbn=0028034627

Would this be a good one to learn the basics of working on a diesel (not just MB) along with a MB book for my car?
Thanks!

Same book $5. I'd buy it for $5. Not for $118.

I took a look and I like it, this site will be a valuable asset in the future. However the $5 book was published in 1983.

I got the book published in 1977.
Since my car is 1978 I figure that book is closest to
what will help me in my studies of my car. And the DHs
that will become my project in the summer.

Looks like price depends on the print date and which edition.

$207.95 4th edition 1998
$ 37.50 2nd ed. 1983
$ 4.95 2nd ed
$ 6.31 1977

amazing the prices. the newer ones might have new updated material.

When you've got a 1953 brain, a 1983 edition is downright futuristic.
