Source for Auto Trans repair manual?

Am looking for an online, printed, or CD Rom repair manual for the auto trans applicable to a 1990 560SEL W126. Any info? Thanks in advance!

Though not comprehensive, this may get you started: http://www.peterschmidtransmission.com/

Best I found after a long search. I repaired mine with no problems using this.

Tram, if that file does not open, try the thread below. I got it to open from there.

info on 722.3 - 722.5 transmissions

I ended up getting my transmission manual from the ATSG for ~$20.

This is not the MB factory manual, but rather the manual that transmission repair/rebuild shops usually use.

(FYI, if you order one, ask for the paper copy. You get access to the electronic one regardless, but the paper one shows up in a week as well.)

Was bedeutet "The ATSG"??

ATSG is the Automatic Transmission Service Group. http://www.atsg.biz

They supply manuals, training, tools... all for repairing automatic transmissions.

For the 722.3 and 722.4 transmissions, I found a manual here

I couldn't get to the website at work due to the filters in place, or I would have linked these earlier.
I was also mistaken, or the price has increased, since this manual goes for $30 now.

I dislike the ATSG manuals, but I think you need both. I find it useful to get several perspectives on any repair as complex as this.

Yeah, I bought the ATSG manual also; but it was not nearly as good as the online one I referenced above - much better drawings of the internals.
but, I agree, I wanted as much info as possible before the surgery.
