U-nut clips for grille on W123 240D?

what size are the "U-Nuts" or "clips" that attach the grill to the hood on a 240D? My grill came off after bumping a swinging gate some time ago, and 3 of the clips were lost. I took the remaining one in to a parts store, but they didnt have the correct size. Seemed like they had a "10",then jumped to a "14", the "10" was too small, and the "14" was too big.

So mine must have been changed? On mine there are 4 hex head screws heldontothr hood edge by 4 u-nut clips. Then on my grille, were four of the u-nut clips. Looks like you put an extension in a ratchet in able to reach the hex head screws inside lip of hood, hold the grill up to it, and try to hit the u-nuts in the grill, then tighten them up. So, are you saying somebody changed this from what is normal ? Is there a picture of the clips that I need? Thanks

They are called J-clips, the number required changed three times through the W123 production.
