I've been successfully using the Startek 107 info for a few years.
I just tried accessing it to check on a procedure and the display is different. This change has occured in the past 2 weeks. The new display does not list everything up front as the old one did. At first, I thought the engine manual only displayed General Tech data, no procedural info. However, I found, after much angst driven cursing, that the info is there but you have to browse utilizing the arrowkeys (in my case anyway). I am using my old Toshiba laptop running XP & Chrome which is what I have been using for years. I tried accessing with a more current machine running WIN 7 and various browsers with no change in the display. So I no longer think it is the result of an old, unsupported application or OS. It is doing it across all my platforms & browsers. Did Startek make a change?

The 107 library seems to work for me but the layout on the screen is a bit mad.
For the W123, W124 and the W126 libraries I've found you can only surf to the PDFs with windows and internet explorer. Firefox on windows isn't reliable. I don't know what startek gets up to - if you buy a EPC subscription it only starts after you have managed to log in! Kind of says it all to me...

OK, sounds like it isn't just me.
Chrome works but as you say, the display is "a bit mad". Everything acts like a drop-down now but the drops are incredibly long. Like a middle school kid did the programming. Wonder if it is the same for subscribers, I imagine there will be a howl.

Middle school kid programming is exactly my impression of the whole affair. Just look at the state of the W123 and W126 FSM - when I saw the German originals I was stunned to see crystal clear pictures that obviously were not photocopies of photocopies of FAXes...
...I imagine in the startek IT department there are a few people in white shirts in charge of it who say things like "well of course..." and end up saying "it wasn't me it was him"!

Stupid Question.
Is the Startek all of the information you would get in the Body and Chassis manual? |

No such thing as a stupid question...
...well almost no such thing!
Quote:
The information that MB USA have made available on startek is an exact copy of the information you'd get on the FSM part of a CD that has been translated into English. This means most things are included such as Engines Chassis Owners manual Electrical trouble shooting etc The notable exceptions from the English translations on these CDs (which you can still buy if you want! And therefore must be mad because they are now free to access!) are chapters such as chapter 27 - transmission - and clutches are also missing. But you get about 90% of the information that is available on the original German language CD (whether you buy it or just access for free)
