86 s seat adjustment, NO switch
I am installing seats from an 86 s??? into my 82 300td. I got these several years ago, tested the seat back and headrest motors, they were good, installed the passenger side, and promptly got busy doing other things. It is now 3 years later, I have the driver's seat in the car, but I have forgot how to to hook power to the seats to un-recline the seatback so it can be used. My car is not wired for electric seats, and I have already switched the bases over so I have manual fore and aft adjustment. But how do I hook power to the 5 pin female connector to move the seatback away from the extreme superfly position ? small 5/6 pin w/2 pinkwires, a brown, a red, and a red/yellow stripe.

Guys, I feel stupid. Turns out I was working with a faulty power supply, so nothing I tried worked. If you need to move one of the seat motors without the switch, simply connect your + lead to one of the large pinhole (pink) and the - lead to the other large pinhole (also pink ) To move it the other direction, switch. On my switch, there were two larger pins and 3 small pins. Once I hooked up to 12 volts, this became real simple
