Smile Outside Temperature Reading

Hi. I'm new to the forum. I have a 1993 300CE that was imported for the Canadian Market. The outside temperature reading is in Centegrade. Is there a way to have it changed to Farenheit reading?
Thanks

Ray,

From what I've read on these forums, you have to switch out the entire display module. There doesn't seem to be a button or jumper inside that can be changed to fix this.

Yes, the above is correct. Changing the display module requires removing the instrument cluster. Not a particularly difficult job.

I recently purchased a used module from a shopforum member to replace the dead one in my '93 sedan. I believe he has several more available. I don't recall his name, but you can search my recent posts to find the thread. He is charging $30 for the modules.

Watch Ebay for the Farenheit displays, they show up all the time for different models, but the sensor for different models will work for others, IE, the W201 and W124 displays are interchangable for most years.
Anyhow, watch ebay or call Pat at Potomac Auto parts, he has them all day anyday for about $25-35
