Central Indiana service...

Found a gentleman just ouside of Indianapolis that is absolutely grade A. He does exactly what he says he will do, and for the price he promises. He took my 300SDL, went thorugh the car, fixed what we agreed upon, the bill was less than expected, and made a list of recomendations for future service. He told me what each item on the list would cost, how long it would take, and the urgency of each item. He has made the car run beautifully. I might add that he has customers from other states that bring their cars to him, onr is from Texas, because he is not capable of screwing a customer. Believe me, I was in the golf business for many years and have a good handle on reading people. This gentlemen is as honest as the day is long. Those interested in procurring his services can e-mail me at mace@lightbound.com or feel free to PM me.

PS. He is particularly fond of diesels as is a walking service CD.

Looking for a mechanic in Indianapolis/Dayton

I may have a 250C purchased. I am now looking for a mechanic in either Indianapolis Indiana or Dayton Ohio. I sit in a little town right in between.
Can anyone make a suggestion? Thanks...gary moore

There was a great guy out of Elkhart several years ago by the name of Mike Toth. It has been MANY years since I was in the area, be he always did well for me.

Good luck.

Indiana Good Shop

Quality Import Service on the north side of Elkhart, IN. is a great shop. They serviced my '84 380SE from 110k - 255k miles and now service my '85 500SEL. Honest, know how to repair (rather than just replace parts!) virtually anything. Specialize in Mercedes, BMW, and Volvo and have just added Lexus due to demand from former Benz owners who now drive Lexus. Owner is Mike Toth. Contact # is 800-517-1432. Address is 53284 CR 9 N, Elkhart, IN 46514. Good people doing great work at reasonable prices.

That is where my SDL was serviced before I bought it. I do have to say I am pleased with what I have seen of them. If I ever have to take the SDL in somewhere to get fixed, I'll drive the hour fifteen.

Thanks
David

I have found Carl Brunson at Oversea's Motors in Mishawaka is great, specially on older models, which of course are the one's that need the most TLC. He is honest and very reasonable. He also has a large stock of available good used parts at his shop which obviously can save you alot of money. I have found if the original Benz parts lasted on my car for 200,000 miles or more... A used Merecedes part is better than a new aftermarket. He also does beautiful restoration work for those with an interest in collectables.
