I live near Columbus and have looked for a "good" shop for classic Mercedes cars. Luckly my old SL has not needed any major work that I couldn't do myself or with the help of competent friends. I take my newer car to the dealership.

I know this is post is old as dirt, but better late than never. I have used German auto with good results on my '84 SD. They have since moved to Bedford, off of Cannon road (the old echeck station). They charge about as much as a dealership - but really seem to know the car.

OK, so I am really looking for an independant VW shop in Chillicothe, OH. I figure that perhaps someone who even knows where this town is might know of who to go to for VW work. (or who to stay clear of)

Would liketo connect with good independent mechanic for 1997 320 S.

Aaron and Chris there are friendly, knowledgeable, fast, reliable, and honest! I got a loaner car from him once when I needed one, and they delivered my repaired car back to me on another occasion (and it's 45 mins to my house one-way).

Where the heck else can you get loaners or delivery?

This place is tops in my book and I've been handing out their business card to every MB owner I see.

Anyone have any dealings with this shop on Morse Rd near Easton Town Center?

Anyone know of a shop in the Akron/Canton OH area who may know how to solve a mystery with a 91 300SL? My current independent is throwing parts at the problem and the dealer returns a blank look when I describe it.

Got an estimate from them for brake pads on my ML430. They were $100.00 higher than the dealer, so I let the dealer (Crown Euro Cars of Dublin) do the job. Dealer always gives a new Mercedes loaner when having service done also.

I've heard a place on the east end of Columbus, Blagoi's Import Car Service is good. I believe they work on diesels too. They have two shops here in town. The east side shop phone number is 614-235-1811. I would have had my brakes done there but the dealers location etc was more convenient for me. Good luck and keep us posted.

I have a 1990 300SE, im located in cincinnati and my current mechanic is not working out (long story). Any way im a collge student and bought this car for a fair price at a dealer auction, i cant afford to pay 80% increase on parts and hight labor rates. Especially on a 1990SE its a very simple car. If your from the area and know of any good shops please let me know.

I really like MB Classic in West Chester - 513-870-0014. If you search this particular forum for "Cincinnati" you might find a few others, but I like MB Classic because they charge the straight MB rate for parts - no price gouging, and Aaron is just a great guy - very detail oriented and knows what he's talking about. I have to drive about an hour to get to him so that alone should be somewhat of a testament!
