Benz1gal - You might try a place called Blaugios (not sure of the spelling) on Dublin Road. Just north of 5th ave on the east side of the road. Had my moms MB serviced there a couple years ago before they moved to Florida. They seemed to be knowledgeable and competent with decent prices. A good sign - they stay busy!!

Blagois is a good shop. I know the owner, Henry. He mostly services Sweedish cars but is knowledgeable on MB as well. I had an uncle who lived in Upper Arlington near Henry's shop and he had his '74 280 serviced there and was always happy.
However, my personal recommendation is Bill Dovell Motor Car. They are on Indianola Street, near Ohio State Univ. Great shop, great guys. Of course, if you're willing to drive to the north side of Cincinnati, I'll be happy to take care of your car at my shop.

I used to live two blocks from Dovell's place and one of the techs was a son-in-law of my neighbor so I hung around some and heard some tales of the place -- all good. Also. hooked up on this site with a Columbus fella who bought an M-100 and used Dovell for tranny work -- was pleased with the result and the cost.
Hey Aaron, isn't the 400i a "family" Ferrari -- I think that's the model I used to lust after when I was a kid (college) and may have test drove one in Lima, Ohio |

The 400i is a four seat Ferrari. Although they are largely unloved in the Ferrari community, I've always appreciated them for their departure from standard Ferrari practice. To me, it's a more exotic Jaguar XJS, a true definition of what a GT car should be; big, fast, comfortable, and yes AUTOMATIC trannied!
The 400i was built for continent crushing mileage. Hop in your 400i in Paris and arrive in Frankfurt feeling totally refreshed! Maintenance can get scary, let alone regular oil changes. The 400i has two oil filters and holds around 19 quarts of oil! Using a good synthetic, that makes for an easy $150 oil change (without labor!). Overall though, it's a wonderful machine to drive. A 308 or other type of sporty Ferrari can be a chore to drive in certain circumstances but the 400i is smooth sailing all the way!

Bill is a great guy... I took my car to him if it was some work that I couldn't do. However, he's picky on cars and doesn't work on all of them. I remember him saying that he usually works on cars that he sells from his showroom. Might first want to ask if he would take a look. |

Just to update, Blagois has changed a lot in the past 2 years. I'd try Dovell, but if he's picky on cars he works on, he's not going to pick mine.

Bill Dovell shop in Columbus
This man has a great place with reasonable rates and is very knowledgeable on M/B's. He has had my business for 40 some cars I have owned over the years. Good Guy. He also sells M/B for a little less that others. All good cars.

I had some work done by Dovell on my W124 E420. I was quite happy with the work performed and prices charged.
