How Do I Attach Pictures

I have '99 C280 and I need to know what is the name of this part and should it have some type of covering over it? I recently got it back from the mechanic and when I looked under the hood, for the life of me, I don't remember seeing this particular part. I was too embarrassed to ask the mechanic about it...

Ok, I'm lost - I keep trying to attach my picture but I get an error message saying my picture is to large to attach. I converted it to a PDF file but it's still to large.

IT WORKED!! Name this part please

Okay, Thanks so much for helping me display my image. Okay, I have the C280, and I want to make sure this part is not suppose to be exposed. Also, what is the name of this part.

Thanks all

Well, the top of it says ASR (which is anti slip). But the gadget itself reminds me of the antilock brake system. Then again, the ASR will engage the brakes if it has to, so this gadget is part of your braking system. I would keep this part

To answer your original question, this part does NOT require a cover.
