Saw an '85 300D For Sale today $1750.00

As I was taking my car for a test drive this afternoon after some repairs, an '85 300D pulled out of a side street in front of me. I immediately noticed a for sale sign in the rear window. I followed the guy to his destination and proceeded to talk to him about the car. It is a silver with tan interior car. Everything appears to work except the hood release...needs a little adjusting. The interior is in pretty good shape, no tears or really worn spots. It could use a really good cleaning on the inside though. The exterior has ZERO rust. All of the body panels are straight on it. The engine compartment was fairly clean and dry...no obvious oil leaks other than the lower oil cooler line starting to leak a little. I did not climb under the car to see what the underside looked like...we were in a store parking lot. The only other items I noticed which needed replacement were the driver side door seal and the trunk seal. The paint looked pretty good...needed a good wax job. I wish this one had been for sale 9 months ago when my identical car was totaled. If I had room for another car, and I hadn't spent $4000.00 fixing my two cars lately, I would snatch this one up. I did not get the guys name, but I did get his number in case any of you are looking for another car. The guys lives out here in Katy, TX...a suburb of Houston. His number is 832-788-8766. Let me clarify that I do not know this guy, and all of the above was acertained from a 15 minute look at the car.
