I have a 1990 300e, 215,000 miles on it, with a blown head gasket. Wife says its time for a new one. This car is in good shape with no rust, shiney paint(garage kept), new tires, good interior with no tears. I can email pics if anyone is interested. I'd like to get $800.00 for it. Thanks!

You can probably get the head gasket fixed for 600 - 800 bucks.

The car is in Maryland. It is white with tan interior. It was running when I found oil in the water and she drove it daily, 20 mile round trip to work. I wanted the timing chain, tentioner, radiator and water pump all changed. The price quoted me was around 2300.00 for everything.

How bad is the leak? Is it driveable? I am interested.

The car was running fine when she brought it home. I sent it to the shop on a roll back about 2 weeks ago and it is sitting there.

Which shop was the car towed to?

for any do it yourselfer, I might have the gasket set for this car for $60.

I live in VA and am interested in the car. Do you have pictures? What city are you in? Maybe I can come look at it? I have a trailer and can remove it with no problem.

Sorry, to all who have responded. My wife now says "lets get it fixed, I really like the car", Oh well, I've been married 25 years and I still can't figure it out. Any way, it looks like its off the market.
