this was a texas car. i brought it back to indiana about 2004. the interior is tan exterior navy. the interior tan leather is dry with plenty of cracking. The springs and underlying foam is good though so they can be repaired if you want. There is a spot on top of the back seats that has been patched about the size of a silver dollar. the carpets are very good. the dash is lightly checked. the exterior has been painted. it is good enough that it is very hard to find evidence of it. we buffed it and and appplied polymer wax and it looks very good. there is old body damage repaired on the drivers side door and under the side rear window. we have repaired it properly with fiberglass filler. we just finished repainting the entire drivers side with high quality paint mixed to the original color. it looks very good. floors, rockers doors, trunk and every other place are rust free including the front pan, jack holes and bottoms of the trunk behind the wheel wells. there is also small patches on the bottom of the trunk lid that have been repaired and painted. The passenger side of the car now has some rust over the rear wheel well. The floors still seem to be sound but if that is importamt to you let me know and I will look at it..

I will post pics when I get home from Ohio.

the engine has been completely professionaly rebuilt, with sleeves, bearings, chain, guides, valves as needed, valve guides, etc. it has about 40,000 miles on the rebuild. it starts and runs excellent. the ac was working but at present there is a vacuum issue and it does not work properly. the cruise is sporadic. there are newish, mc and booster. the tires are michelin with about 2/3 tread left. The tires have great tread but are old now and if a lot of highway driving is contemplated should be replaced. there are recent bilsteins, too. tight ride handling and steering.

I converted it to stick a few years back using a 240 FW. At that time I put in a new clutch and pp.

It will get 30 highway consistantly and 20 around town with the stick and the 307 diff. The conversion was done correctly with all mb parts and a new front half of the driveshaft.

It currently has an issue with the starting switch/key. I have pulled it all apart and have not been successful in getting it back together.

I am offering it at an organ donor price. As is $2,500, less than what I spent rebuilding the engine, not to mention the stick conversion. I can lower that price if I pull off some parts that are easy to remove.

I'll offer it for $2,500 and I get to keep the headlight doors, shocks and radiator.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention, the ignition switch is new but I buggered up the electrical connection on the ignition switch trying to install the new tumbler. This price is as is.

OK, finally I have gotten the pics attached. It is a nice solid car mechanically excepting the ignition plug which is a problem. For someone with patience it would not be a really difficult fix but would take three hours or so to solder in a new plug. The body and interior are shaggy but with a day's work with some rust binder and touch up paint the exterior could look a lot better. The interior with some seat covers would be very usable for someone looking for basic transportation. The engine purrs like a 617 kitten and it will ger 30 mpg all day long highway and 20 around town with the stick and the 307 diff.

If the price seems too high talk to me. I will deliver too for the right deal. I need to free up some garage space....the cash would be ok too.

I have the rubber piece for the bumper.
