92 Lookin Fer A Home !
 

Well I finished up my 92 orphan. I think it turned out well. She got her new shoes yesterday! Boy what a difference! Smooooth as silk now. She is going up for sale cuz Ma says I can only have one MB at a time and no way I gonna sell Bigblue. Car has 187k and ALL the electrics work right down to the headrests!! Has new motor mounts replaced the sliding cover glove box and the dist cover and the AC is cold ! She has a new lens around the pass side headlite. Got a Pioneer CD and 12 DC changer. Engine starts and runs great and the tranny shifts fine and best of all this puppy don't leak! The only thing I did not fix was the trip odo. Also has new floor mats. Interior is very clean and not ripped up and the wood is in good shape also. This is just a real nice drivin car. $4900

Where is Bryson City, Smokey? I'm from NC, but the name doesn't sound familiar. I'm looking for a car for my daughter. This one sounds like a winner. She's very responsible and takes very good care of her stuff. It would be in good hands.

Hey Dee ! I am over in the western part of the state up in the Mtns!! Bryson City is about 75 west of Asheville Nc and about 25 miles from the tourist trap of Cherokee NC ! smokie -- has the engine wiring harness been replaced?

I wish I could say yes! :confused: But I don't know!:confused: :confused: When I get these rescue jobs they don't always come with papers. :eek: So thats why I really give it the big eye before I buy! But the car is very straight!:P Will make someone a nice runner and good lookin to boot!:D

M103 engines did not have problems with wiring harnesses, so you're in the clear.

You ARE far west, man! I have only been through that part of the state a few times, but thought you'd be in TN by the time you went another 75 miles west of Asheville.

I'm back now, but was at the beach anyhow. Doubt I'll be able to make it to your neck of the woods anytime soon. Love your car, though. If it runs as well as it looks, it's a winner.

Also on a random note, were those pictures taken somewhere along the foothills parkway or in the national park? It looks like one of those senic area cutoffs along those roads.

My bad -- I thought it was the '91- '96 years, not engine.

Generally speaking, all 1993-1995 wiring harnesses are bad.

In 1992, cars with M119 engines were also bad (400E and 500E), for example.

Nope not the Parkway! Just around the corner from where I live here in the boonies!:D It is just a little pull off area they made when they made the new 4 lane! They really opened up a view! :) I have some great roads to take Bigblue out and flatten out the curves!!:) I now have the car listed on craigslist and a bunch of other classified sites! Got my first offer of a check from Nigera!! Guy wants to make a a super deal! :confused: I told him to take his check and buy some bullets and well you know the rest of the story!!;)
