Light Blue
244,000 Miles
Four Doors
4 Speed Manual Transmission

I have been a lurker on this site for the past few months while working on this old w123 and dispite all the fun of working on this thing I have decided to part with it and start saving for the w126 of my dreams to convert to SVO/biodiesel.

I would like to get $2000 for it to cover what I put into it but any reasonable offer will be taken seriously.

Here are a few of the major looks but there are a lot mor pictures that can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/61355789@N00/
There are three pages, so please look at all of them as I tryed to give a complete picture of the car, the good and the bad!

The interior looks like that of a 25 year old car. There are some seams coming out in the seats and the carpets are in need of being replaced or seriously cleaned. There is no stereo and the existing speakers are all blown, I just left them in there so the next person can make sure they get the right sizes, the antenna is also missing. The AC isn't working and I don't know enough about AC systems to figure it all out so I am going to leave that for someone with more skills. The blower and heat work well. There are a few small cracks in the dash board, but nothing that looks bad. To make it very nice inside it could use new carpets and some seat covers, or someone with some upholstery skills. The clock and instament panel lights are not workign and i haven't tryed replacing the bulbs yet. All the exterior lights are working great

The engine runs very well. I just changed the oil, oil filter, both fuel filters, and air filter. I put a patch on the the exhaust system and she is purring like a kitten and has a considerable amount of power for a car this old. The thing to note about the engine is that at the moment you have to shut it off manually by pushing the stop button on the engine or providing a vacuum to a line in the cabbu sucking on it, its ghetto I know but it makes it easier then popping the hood every time I stop. This is a fairly common problem with these cars but I don’t have the time or technical skill to get it fixed quickly. I checked the vacuume lines and they have good pressure so I think the problem has to be with the injector pump, but I could be wrong. Someone who works on these cars could probably fix this easily. I dont know if the cruse control works or not, but my guess would be no.

There are its share of scratches, rock chips, and one small ding in the front fender but all the chrome is still in place and shinning well. My favorite part, it still has the hood emblem, something that adds a little extra cool when driving. I listed all the big stuff, good and bad. The original hub caps are still on all four tires, though the paint on them is starting to fade in places. The tires are in good shape and have many thousands of miles left on them. There is some body rust in all the usual spots for a care this old in the North East, the corners on the door panels and under the body, but nothing that looks too bad and most of it could be fixed with bondo.

One interesting thing to note is that some previous owner put in some after market fuel stuff. There is a second fuel tank installed in the trunk. Originally I had hoped that they were starting to convert it to run on vegetable oil, but at the moment that isn’t the case. There is also a water separator installed in the fuel system under the hood. I don’t know when any of this was done, but these are two of the things you need to get running on vegetable oil, I am told. It could be a relatively easy conversion for someone looking to do that.

This car is 25 years old, but it looks good for its age and it runs well. I don’t have any of the documentation or manuals for the car but they can be found online with a little searching. It would be a great car for someone interested in running it on biodiesel or vegetable oil.

Most of this sounds bad, but I think it looks preety good for its age
