Why are the seat belts purple?

maddog123 01-30-2007 06:03 PM

Purple belts

Yeah, I know... what is up with that they look worse in the picture than they really are, I guess just fade? Besides this is SOO SO CAL..be free, not so east coast:pirate: REALLY I could re- RIT dye them I guess? Black always fades to purple.

I told me mate to hide them, I no like them accoss the seat but fer some reason he do..:stupid:

but a least they are not hidden from you I guess. It is just what you see that is why it is not 15,000 like that last one on ebay. Paint and some non issues (for us in paradise) but very clean and low on usage never a commuter, as you can see with the kids we drive the ones with more seats since 97 we have not been needing the 2 seaters, sold a MR2 TURBO also. We just got the Wagon so the SL is taking a stall...

I asked my kid which car did not fit in the line up and he said the Wagon because it has an extra row of seats that the other cars do not have, not the "red" car or that one is a "bmw" but the wagon due to design...hmmm engineer in training.:scholar: uh ohh...:greedy:

I lived, as a wee lad, in Glendale, California, circa 1971.

I was well familiar withe local Benz dealer.

I used to hang around the dealer and drool over the cars there. I may have drooled over this one!

maddog123 01-31-2007 08:11 PM

Not for long

Not on the lot too long that is..I think Mr. G. Young picked it up very quickly and it may have been an advanced order. I shall ask his son this weekend. My kids where not allowed to drool on it either ha

I was in Glendale today and drove by the old Colonial Import dealer. It is a Honda dealership now (has been a Honda dealership for at least 20 years now).

Nothing to drool about there now. :(

Sick but true

Well my hubby thinks the HONDA INSIGHT is some Vunder beast:confused: , but I look at the group online and it sure has it set of bleeding edge issues! When are they going to have BATTERY EXCHANGE STATIONS?
IMHO it is not ever going to look like my 350sl does today in its 35 years, dat'z fer sure. I think I see some room for a no top in you fleet :D hee hee Hey some fellow from Santa Monica called and some fellow from NORWAY is pretty serious, has one and wants another... we will see.

:) What a work of art. The car is very nice, and I think that is the most thoroughly put together advertisement I've ever seen, especially online. People don't always let you look that much at a car when you go there in person. Though it's not in my cards right now, as my plate is full with projects already. I know someone will buy this car from you at a good price. You must feel pretty bad about letting her go. This is understandable, and pretty much self explanatory. I wish you luck in finding her a suitable home anyways. Hopefully someone from the site will buy her, then you can have a leg breaking party if they mess her up...lol :D

NO Honda will ever hold up like the 350SL. That's for sure.

There WILL BE a topless car in my future. Gotta get the kiddies through college and then I can turn my attention towards some self-indulgent goodies.

I agree with the post above. Your ad is one of the most, if not the most, interesting and eye-catching one I've seen in years.

Buena suerte!

I am a programmer turned advertiser

Sooo much thanks to you all for ye nice words,me hopes it workie and snags a first class owner. I cannot tune a W123 or adjust a valve, but I can code web pages. I was hoping to show all the car because I do not want any issues on the sale. Nothing to hide. Plus my hubby does a good job an maintaining our fleet, even when I get cars that have sat under the union coal docks for 10 years, how do you get coal out of beige carpets? or old 2002tii cars from the mid USA with rust what was I thinking:dizzy2: ?

We are getting some bid action on her now. It is so sad to see her go. We will see the previous owner this weekend the boat will be at the http://www.layc.org opening day ceremonies in the LA harbor, great for shipping her back to europe :idea2: HINT (now that would be cool) as she has been a member a long time (see burgee in rear hard top window) .
