84 Mercedes TD 300 Wagon - Converted
 

Unfortunately, we have to get rid of our Mercedes to free up some badly needed cash.

The vehicle is in excellent shape, under 200k miles, has been professionally converted with a Plantdrive VO system w/ upgraded fuel lines so you can run biodiesel. Comes w/ a hand pump, barrels, some new VO. I've done quite a bit of maintenance on the car & it's running very strong. In Los Angeles.

It will be a nice addition to my Lambo collection. Maybe use it as a chase car, for those probable breakdowns.

Some years ago we were at the Renaissance Fair with my school and we rode our school bus home and suddenly our bus driver started very audibly laughing over the roar of the wind noise. There was a nice new Red Diablo VT broken down and a very pissed guy on the freeway at the call box. Was that you? :D

For that price, the tailgate area better come with a briefcase full of cash. Be reasonable - you might get $6,500 if you HADN'T ruined the car with that "conversion."

If you sell this car for that price, PT Barnum was right!!

Unfortunately clowns like this are artificially driving up prices and making it almost impossible for an enthusiast to buy one of these wagons. When someone else who is selling sees the ridiculous prices people are asking they think they can get the same and we get artificial inflation.

The used car market around here sucks
I see junk MB's on there for $2K minimum

There are cars around here which look worse than a portable toilet at a rock concert which still have a perceived value of $2000.

I flag every CL post with ridiculous prices and or fuel consumption lies every chance I get. :mad:

I guess then I won't list my daily, 300k+ normal dings but gets 75mpg city for 10k then:rolleyes:.

the car looks great in the photos - but if you look more closely at the pics you can tell it has had a bad paint job with overspray on door handles and air intake vents.

I didn't notice that it didn't have license plates. Even if it's showing the non rustiness of the license plate holder it implies that the car is not registered and or has expired registration.

I am selling my wagon for $9k then just to edge out Jack's car. :D

But, Can you beat my MPG? I run Bio, and everyone knows that triples you mpg:D

You didn't know, but my car was previously owned by Dr. Evil who "converted to biodiesel" and now it gets.....One Hundred Million Miles to the Gallon. :P

The ad bugs me, but makes me feel like I got an absolute steal with my "new" W123 wagon.

I almost forgot about that. How much did you get it for?

I bought it, so I got the car for "it". :D

And to think I sold mine for what I thought was a fair price, $1300. Jeez, I should have thrown it on Fleabay just to see what would have happened.

To think I bought 2, one for 800 with a parts car, one for 750 with a parts car... Geez, those poor guys... they sold me 50,000 for mere pennies unknowingly. Maybe with the help of this poster and the other one who was selling a car but wouldn't put a price or details but hinted that he had put some 30,000 into his and that you would get a steal for 10k could help me make a small percentage on my investment of, oh, say 2500%? :eek:

btw, I also get 1,000,000 to the gallon on my parts cars which have not needed to have any fuel added to the tank since I got them. In fact, one doesn't even have a tank because it's so efficient. It runs off of the biodiesel residue in the air from all the other biodiesels running around with lesser conversions.

You can buy either one from me for only 20,000 which is a steal considering you won't have to buy diesel ever again, at least as long as you don't own one of those 'other' diesels...

btw, i am also coop selling without the owner's knowledge this manual engine compact mercedes benz that gets unbelievable miles to the gallon...
