It really depends on the car. A driver will cost about $800 and anyone can do it. A very good car would require some special care and will cost about $1200. For the latter, I'd suggest Intercity - they hauled my AMG and did an amazing job of caring for every detail to make sure nothing happened to the car.

If you want to do it on-the-cheap, check out uship.com; I used it and came out great, but you really have to watch that your carrier is legit (read: insured and trustworthy). I had my 300D trailered from Long Island for $450 door to door (on a UHaul one-car trailer) this past spring.
