Car locateded in Riverdale Ga. 18ml. S. of Atlanta.Owner selling this car because he needs the money.6cyl engine; 62K+ original miles;factory heat & A/C;Interior in excellant shape,no cracks tears or rips. Extra parts included chrome trimming and accents;power window motors and switches included. This is a euro model featuring the low profile front grille. Asking price is 16,500.00. contact FranK 678-334-8109. Will also consider trade for 2000 S class. I dont get to the site often to check messeges so feel free to call.

The tachometer sticks occasionally; The muffler scraps if driven over low pavement. Manual windows and no sunroof are the other drawbacks but good A/c. Clean Arkansas title ready to go.

That is just so pretty. It's one of those models that I associate with beautiful, classic Mercedes.

May I ask why you are selling?

Thanks,
bigmaq

That's a nice low grill 280SE coupe, W111 chassis.

Low grill coupes are pretty rare, they came into being because of the new M116 3.5 motor that came out in late '69. Even though the 2.8 six was sold alongside the 3.5 v8 until late '71 when the W111 bady went away.

Good luck with the sale, for the right buyer that's a great price.

Oh gee, I didn't qoute to whom I was speaking to. I guess the mods are going to get confused and tell me to use the quote button again. Then, when I reply with a "Gee, I would have never known that", maybe I'll get banned from this place, I already got 4 points worth of infractions today for being a "smartass". Go figure.

I think that this thread needs to be renamed, as the car is a 280 not a 380... typo???

It's a nice looking car...though the trunk lid doesn't look like it is sitting right. It appears to be above the rear quarter panels - looks like someone did some not so nice body work back there? In the photo taken from the right rear this is very clear.

Good eye

This is true as the car has been repainted. The trunk does need to be adjusted slightly, thank you for the constuctive comment.
