I'm more intested why you are only looking at the 1996 model year.

When did it become the CL? That's essentially what the S class coupe is now, isn't it? Were the 1995-1999 models called S's or CL's?

In the C140 chassis, only the last year 1999, and maybe 1998, were called CL500.

Coupe
Thats correct the name CL started in 98-99. To the previous question it seems as though the price goes up with each year, and I'm leery of any 95 S body transmission. The 96 looks just as classy as the 98,99.
