Please feel free to make an offer if the price seems too high. I am desparate!

Help! I'm drowning in old benzos!

Glub glub....

Drowning in sweet old benzos!

Help!

That price on the motor will barely cover the parts I put in it. And perhaps a couple hundred miles on it.

Who here isn't? I'm down to "only" two and I found another cheap low-mileage gem-needs-polishing today. Crap. Now what? Who has time to regularly drive three old Mercedes, a daily driver, a pickup truck, and CJ7?

Hypothetically, would you be hesitant to drive it to Connecticut, or cross country for that matter? Whats the current asking price for the running, moving car?

t walgamuth 06-15-2011 10:39 PM

The last price above for the whole car is 2595 but I will take less. Make me an offer!

It does not have decent tires on it currently but I will take the tires off the 300cd to make a deal. They are a little old but have excellent tread. I would trust them.

I drove it back from the shop today and there was a miss. I suspect a plugged injector from sitting too much. I'll fix that. Otherwise I see no reason it could not be driven to CN....or CA for that matter.

Oh **** why did i stumble on this ad... I too am drowning but I'm a masochist.

I am open to ridiculously low and insulting offers.

Make me an offer, any offer, I am desperate!

(not really but I would like to sell the old dear).

I offered the car earlier to one of our members who wanted it for the 24 hours of lemons for 1500 I believe it was.

So I am open to that or will be glad to start pulling parts off it. I just need to move some stuff out.

UPdate as of 12.25.11

Today I started it up, put stabilizer in the tank and found the miss was gone. Wooo Hoooo![/B]

I am beginning to part it out now. I plan to pull the motor next week.

WE have not gotten very far yet on the engine removal. I just got a message from a member interested in the engine. I offered him the following:
1. Engine including match balanced FW and clutch assembly plus euro exhaust mounted on a skid ready for shipping. $1,275.
2. Car shell including engine, tranny, limited slip diff, exhaust system on wheels towable on a bar or trailer....$$1,475.

We are now picking off the easy stuff such as doors, radiator lights etc.

PM me if you are interested in one of these deals. We can talk about it.

Tom

Ok we have the engine out now. It is sitting on a skid with the tranny attached, and the air cleaner. We taped all the openings and tried to take all the hoses and so forth that are attached to the motor with the motor.

It is simply amazing. This is a 1984 car with plenty of miles on it and the hoses are still supple and not cracked.

I have tried to preserve all parts so that a buyer can convert a 123 to an all euro car including the large exhaust manifolds and the no cat dual system from engine to rear bumper. the front pipes and rear muff appear to have been replaced. The center section with the two resonators look original but solid.

I took pictures too and will attach them shortly.

I would love to find a new home for all this so I am open to offers of any nature.
