6.9 FS, outstanding example

2 Attachment(s)
Outstanding 6.9 for reluctant sale: 1979, 88500 miles. Stunning silver-blue metallic (#930) over dark blue leather interior (#202). USA version with sunroof. Cold AC, recent struts, spheres, and hydraulic pump. Everything (including climate servo) works as it should. This is #7184, built 11/79 (one of the last). Fast and original except for 1 respray. Same owner last 18 years. Exceptional two-time M-100 Group ''Best 6.9'' show winner. $18,800. Additional pictures/details available if you are seeking one of the best. Located in Delaware. Thanks!

EDIT: I've had questions concerning the respray... it was done in the early nineties due to a sideswipe by a drunk driver that damaged sheet metal down the left side. Work was done at Molin Body Shop, Wayne, PA. I think they are gone now but were nationally known for the quality of their work.

Also, the original wheels are available instead of the Ronal style reproductions on the car now.

The sale isn't nearly as reluctant as the buyer will be........ ;)

Very nice looking example, and good luck with your sale.

Tyler, this should make you feel quite well, eh? :)

Oracle12345 06-04-2009 10:36 PM

Yes, gorgeous. I have to settle for, well.... Patina. :D

I edited the original post to answer questions concerning the respray. Its being sold to thin the fleet a bit as its the one that gets used least.

LOL, I thought the same thing.

Great car, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to have it. She really looks good. Not in this lifetime, though....

why, won't be any more expensive to run then your 9000CS (from what I remember during my Saab days).

No thanks, I've now got some money in my SE, a fellow in WV is working on it for me and i'm hoping he'll having it running soon.

My 6.9's are pretty sweet. I'm trying to sell one of them now because I would really like an SEC. It would make me happy and allow me to sell my E420 also.

Nah, I've put maybe $300 into that car (not counting regular maintenance like oil changes, and maybe $400 in parts after I hit a deer) since I bought it three years ago.

It's one of the cheapest cars to run that I've ever owned.

Amazing, I had a 900S convertible that was a giant money pit. I will say that most of the issues were related to the fact that people did not know how to work on them. A/C cost a fortune to fix, the clutch and hydraulics cost me about $2k.

Nice car though, but I should have bought the turbo.
