Thumbs up WTB: W124 or W210 Diesel

I will try again

I am looking for W124 or W210 Diesel or TD / 1995 to 1999. I will be very happy with something under 150K. Best color: Blue, Black or Silver. I will not say NO to other colors but this 3 are my first choice.
I am sure that someone is selling one.
Come on guys, please, please

Cash waiting, no banks, no credit unions
Western US will be the best, but hey...I am always up for a road trip across the country.
Thanks

Wonderful, any more details please? I looked at your photos and I assume that the two cars there are the two in question? Miles? Price? Service history? Parts changed or not? Good and bad points?
You can PM me if you don't want this discussion to go here.
Thanks

Well, can you define what "your budget," is?

The good, bad and indifferent for the 124...

it is a solid, reliable daily driver, but the things that need work / updated are many. I will give you a list of what I know of that needs to be done. It needs a new antenna, or at least just needs the current one properly mounted and actually wired up. The drivers window and right rear windows need regulators, or something to that affect. AC must have a leak, I had it serviced last summer, but now no cold air again The previous owner actually removed the drivers right side arm rest, and I haven’t gotten around to putting another one on. But I did find a black one on ebay. The transmission shifts hard, but I have been told there are a couple of things you can adjust to fix that, but I have no clue what to adjust. The left rear quarter must have been sanded down or just completely replaced at some point cause it has faded and you can tell some work has been done. I am guessing this is where the antenna was messed up too. The windshield wiper motor needs replaced. The sprayers all work, and the headlight wipers work fine, but the windshield motor has died off on me. Some cracks in the wood console, nothing real major though, just typical. It has various dings where it looks like the previous owner must have had a really tight 2 car garage, and had a few door dings. If I can think of any more bad, I will let you know.

So how about some good? Car has a new windshield (coal truck cracked the old one). Both power seats work fine. Car has 4 new tires with probably less than 5000 miles on them. With new tires comes an alignment obviously. It has 2 new rear shocks. The factory sound system sounds system is in good shape. No blown speakers, amp still intact, door bass speakers and factory fader all still work. Power sunroof works fine, but there must be a crossed wire somewhere because the controls aren’t all as they should be. One of them is backwards, just don’t remember which. Regardless, it works fine in every direction. It has a new fan and fan clutch. I replaced the original with a lightweight model. It has a new radiator with new hoses. And the biggest thing, it has a freshly rebuilt injector pump. It was rebuilt at the Bosch service center in North Carolina, and tuned to factory specs. That rebuild alone cost $1100.

Car has a bit over 200k on it at the moment. I don't drive it daily anymore.

Now for the 210

This one has some issues as well, but less than the 124. again, the right rear window needs a regulator. I dont know what the deal is but these seem to be a troubled part. a/c has a leak. I had it recharged a few months ago, now just blows warm air. Antenna is fully extended, not sure if it is supposed to retract automatically or not, but it doesn't. I honestly do not know about the sun roof. I opened it all the way back when i first got it, and it did not want to shut. I got it shut, and I have not opened it that way since. My wife said she did with no problems. I am just scared of getting it stuck. I pop it open daily though. that is all the negatives I can think of at the moment.

Now for the goodies. New tires a few months ago, new rear shocks (bilsteins) new motor mounts, new ball joints, new glow plugs, new tranny mount, new radiator, and I think that is it. Oh, new windshield for this one too.

This one has about 186k on it.

Sorry that you have set your goal between 95-99.I have an excellent 92 300e W124 with 114k. In fact the odometer just clicked 114k yesterday. It is black over gray. She will go anywhere anytime and in perfect condition. I've been the second owner for the past nine years and always in a garage, lots of TLC and never smoked in. I'm asking $6,500.

It is underscore between the first name and the last
