66 scout pickup for sale

the bad: rusty, brakes not working, right door not working. front bumper off the truck from plow application. I think I have it though.

The good: all mechanical parts are sound: engine runs well, no excessive smoking or oil consumption, good tires but not new, driver's floor and rocker has been replaced with hd aluminum. Bed too. tailgate is intact and working but has some rust. Recent valve job and carb rebuild. hand brake works very well. front axle upgraded to the dana 44 from the newer scout.

Features: four cylinder, three speed, manual steering, manual brakes, pickup cab on it, full top included. Manual choke. lock out hubs. standard wheels no lift kits. oversized front axle bump stops. It kept the front from sitting too low when the plow was lifted. extra rear end included (I think)....I'll have to check. limited slip in back.

$750 or a reasonable offer.

Could deliver on my trailer.

Uh-oh. I had one of those in mint green with a white top. How rusty is "rusty?"

I can see daylight from more than one place through the sides of the floor panels. The front fenders are pretty weak now too and the front edge of the hood is pretty weak. Lots of good solid aluminum though in the drivers side floor board and rocker area.

If you're really interested though I might be able to figure out how to post some pics. The pickup cap alone is probably worth 500 (Am I way off?)

Its dark metallic blue on bottom with a silver top.

It has an interesting history. the original owner was the navy....camp atterbury, I believe. YOu can still see the outline of SP on the hood!

Mine was pretty solid -- aren't they all galvanized? Guess that only helps so much, though. Anyway, when/if pics are convenient, I'd love to see some. I sent you an email, too, so feel free to send them that way if it's easier. Thanks!
