Not surprising.

Incredible to see what a Palomino interior should look like before it becomes Pinkamino.

That car is too nice to use... I like a car I can drive to the grocery store in the rain or snow.
Did you click on the 280sl v-8?.... NICE!;)

It takes a garage - for the past twenty-nine years. I just bought a 1981 300D that's black on palamino, and it's one of the few cars I've seen (much less owned!) that didn't have the pinkamino either. The interior is actually more brown than pink! Thank God.

Hmmm...a bit high IMO but I am a cheapskate. :P I would think about 10k was a good price but they must be able to market it to the right buyers.

Agreed. That is why I drive a 16 and a 26 year old vehicle with over 500k combined miles. :D I don't ever think about parking too close to someone or care too much what the weather is like and if it will get dirty.

That is a drool car.

If you think it looks cool....

...you should drive it - particularly the stick version.

Out-freaking-standing.

Bob and company generally charge a premium, but the quality I have seen there and from there is top notch.

My $0.02.

I see that this "Sale" fell through - still available. . .

I showed my husband this car last night, and he's insisting I call them. The man has lost his mind. I would be afraid to drive it--and we most certainly cannot afford it. (For the first time in nine years, I don't have classes to teach this summer!) :(

I was a total freak about my 300D before she was totaled, and she was very nice, very well kept, but that car looks showroom new, like a time capsule.

Still, when I think about all the money people spend on even standard new cars. . . It would cost about the same that he paid for his Tercel more than ten years ago. It boggles the mind.

I wonder though . . . being as I am just now starting to learn my engine parts and have never fixed my own cars, do I spend $6-7K on an excellent condition, less than 180K mileage W123 with full service records, few owners, etc., or would it be worth it to spend double that on a "new" one that would require less maintenance expense. And the more I read here, the more uncertain I feel about the reality of the odometer reading.

(Yes, people are paying $6-7K here for W123s in excellent condition. I know you wrench veterans think this is insane, but I don't know my engine parts--YET!)

Hell, if we quit smoking cigars, we might be able to swing it! (We smoke good cigars.) Still, I think it would make me a nervous wreck. It is so damn gorgeous and perfect. Even the palamino looks beautiful, and I'm pretty sure I've never thought that!
