Well, folks, since I just recently bought "Ben" and I have a couple of other diesel projects going on......it's time I advertise "Next" aka "swamp monster", etc.

Here's the thread that describes my early discovery of her. This w116 was last driven on the highway in summer of 2001. I bought it as a non-running car and actually got the engine started 3 times last fall. My success is documented in the thread. It is being sold as a non running car. Comes with a clean title and a Bill of Sale. I have some extra chrome trim pieces that come with the car as well as the skirt that fits under the front of the car.

The interior is in good shape and the wheels are the best I've ever seen. If I had more time and energy, I would probably do an engine swap on it. I have several good donor engines that run. Car has been repainted. I will help load the car onto your trailer. I am negotiable on the price. I'm in a mood right now that is saying get rid of some projects.

Still very interested, but trying to find a way to get to "the big muddy." If I were much closer, I would already have "Next" in my driveway.

Very fair and reasonable price on this one, unlike so many other For Sale ads. And from a well respected forum member. Should sell easily......

The car comes with a Euro Warning Triangle in very good condition
and
the w116 mounting hardware; different from w123 and w126 brackets.

Road trips are possible. I'll be happy to deliver for a fee.

Is the driver door misaligned and or will it close completely?

It will close completely; the damage is all in the door a little in the rocker panel. Here's a few pics of the damage on the rocker panel. To whoever I said it was the size of 2 quarters....it's about the length of a dollar bill.

OUCH!!!

Next got hit again. I'm going to have to teach "driving lessons" out at the shop. The damage is to the rubber end cap on the passenger side and the turn signal on the passenger side.

I will post more pics in a few minutes.

How about if we call it "discoloration"?

The battery tray is actually a replacement one that I got at the junkyard last fall. It still needs some POR 15 and some paint, but it's a lot better than the previous one.

Also, please note the splitting occurring in the hood hinge pockets. The fuel tank cover was plugged up.
